With their newly-appointed Principal Conductor Chris Hopkins at the keyboard, English Sinfonia presents English Miniatures - a delightful programme of rarely performed, charming English chamber works from the late 19th and 20th century by Bridge, Coleridge-Taylor, Bax and Holst. English Sinfonia's leader, Janice Graham, opens the concert with Vaughan Williams' much-loved The Lark Ascending, marking 100 years to the month since the work's first public performance on 15 December 1920.
